Detailed Itinerary
Destinations Covered: Delhi - Varanasi
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
After arriving in Delhi, meet the Shakti India Tours representative who will pick you up from the Airport/Railway Station and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and get ready to explore Old Delhi. First, visit the magnificent Jama Masjid, which is one of the largest mosques in India, then a unique glance at local life by an exploration of the bustling local bazaar of Chandni Chowk on a rickshaw. Pass by the Red Fort before the drive to New Delhi for the tallest stone tower in India, the 800-year-old Qutub Minar, surrounded by ancient Hindu and Muslim complexes. On-time return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing - Varanasi
Post your breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat – the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Drive past the city landmark of India Gate, the President’s House, and Parliament House & Government Secretariat Buildings. Finish today with an insight into the local religion at a colorful Hindu temple- Laxmi Narayan Temple. Later, our tour representative will drop you at Railway Station to board your train for Varanasi. Overnight in the train.
Day 3: Arrival in Varanasi
Morning, you will arrive at Varanasi. Meet our tour representative who will transfer you to the pre-booked hotel accommodated for an overnight stay. Freshen up and proceed for excursion of Sarnath. Sarnath is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and it is the place where Gautam Buddha delivered his first sermon. After this visit Dashashwamedh Ghat to see Ganga Aarti which is done by a group of priests every day before sunset, also enjoy a boat ride on the Ganga River. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay
Day 4: Departure from Varanasi
After having breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a day sightseeing tour of Varanasi. Explore the famous Ghats and Temples of Varanasi, which include Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Manas Mandir, Birla Temple, and Sankat Mochan. In the evening, Shakti India Tours representative will drop you at the airport/railway station to board your flight/train for home or onward destination.
