    Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

    After reaching Delhi you will be met by Shakti India Tours representative who will receive you from Airport or Railway Station. And will transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

    Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi

    Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel and then embark on an exciting city tour to explore the famous attractions of Delhi. Visit the historical Rajghat which is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. Thereafter, move towards the Chandni Chowk area in Old Delhi to visit the historical Red Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) where every year on Independence Day (15th August), the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag and addresses the public. The fort was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan after shifting his capital from Agra to Delhi. After exploring the attractions and architecturally beautiful structures inside the fort complex, proceed to visit the Jama Masjid which is one of the largest mosques in the country. It can accommodate more than 25,000 people at a time. Then visit the Shri Digambar Jain Lal Temple which is built in red sandstone and is known for its impressive structure. You cannot resist yourself to explore the charm of Old Delhi in Chandni Chowk, the busiest and oldest market area in the city. Enjoy shopping or just take a rickshaw ride to explore the market areas.

    After exploring the key attractions of Old Delhi, proceed to see the attractions of New Delhi and other parts of the city. Drive towards Rajghat, the ceremonial avenue of New Delhi. Here you will visit the India Gate which has been an epitome and major landmark of Delhi. It is basically a war memorial monument of national importance. It was constructed in the memory of those brave soldiers who had laid their lives for the sake of the nation. Visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan (the official residence of the President of India) which is located at the western edge of the Rajpath. Also, visit the Sansad Bhawan (the parliament house of India) located nearby. Make a visit to the historical Humayun’s Tomb that is will never fail to lure you with its impressive architectural styles. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thereafter to proceed to see the very famous Qutub Complex that is the site for the longest brick minaret, the Qutub Minar. The Qutub Minar along with the Qutub Complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    If time permits, you may also visit the Lotus Temple (the Bahai House of Worship), National Museum, Laxmi Narayan Temple (Birla Temple), and ISKCON Temple. On-time return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

    Day 3: Delhi - Agra (210km / 3.5 hrs. approx.)

    Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel and then drive to Agra en-route visiting the Tomb of Akbar’s Tomb at Sikandra. The tomb architecture is the finest example of the amalgamation of Hindu, Christian, Baudh, Muslim, and Jain architectural styles. On reaching Agra, check-in at the hotel. Have some rest and then proceed on a sightseeing tour. Covering Agra Fort (the Red Fort of Agra, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Also, visit the Itimad-Ud-Daulah Tomb, lovingly called the Baby Taj or the Jewel Box. Sometimes it is also described as the Draft of the Taj Mahal. If time permits you can explore local markets in the evening. Return to the hotel on time. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

    Day 4: Agra - Jaipur (256 km / 5 hrs. approx.)

    Early morning, proceed for sunrise visit of the Taj Mahal, one of the most visited architectures in the world. Basically, the Taj Mahal is a mausoleum built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his most darling wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Built-in pure white marble, the Taj is often referred to as the Symbol of Love. The monument is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New7Wonders of the World. It is also regarded as the finest example of Mughal architecture in the world. The beauty of the Taj especially at sunrise and sunset is exceptional, and it will never fail to lure you.

    After the sunrise visit of the Taj Mahal, return to the hotel for breakfast. Later drive to Jaipur, the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. En route stop at Fatehpur Sikri (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) for sightseeing. Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai Palace, Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, and Birbal House are prime attractions at Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was founded by Mughal Emperor Akbar as his capital. But soon he deserted this town due to scarcity of drinking water.

    On reaching Jaipur, check-in at your pre-booked hotel. Lovingly known as the Pink City of India, Jaipur is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Rajasthan and India as well. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. You may enjoy shopping at local markets in the city. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

    Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing

    After early morning breakfast, take an excursion to Amer Fort located atop a hill in the outskirts of Jaipur city. Enjoy an elephant ride to ascend the fort complex. Explore the fort complex and see the beautiful architectural styles. Return to hotel in Jaipur en-route visiting the Jal Mahal (the Palace of Water). Later proceed for Jaipur city tour. Visit the City Palace Complex which is one of the main attractions of the city. The City Palace Complex consists of beautiful courtyards, palatial palaces, spectacular structures, and terrific temples. The City Palace Museum, Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, and Shri Govind Devji Temple are key attractions inside the City Palace Complex.

    Later visit the stunning historical monument – the Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds). The Hawa Mahal is a major landmark and tourist attraction in the city. Built-in the shape of Lord Krishna’s shape, it is also described as the Crown of Jaipur. The monument is built for its distinctive five-storey structure with 953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework.

    Later proceed for visits to some other attractions of Jaipur city including Albert Hall Museum, Jantar Mantar Royal Observatory (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and local markets. On-time return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jaipur.

    Day 6: Jaipur - Delhi – Amritsar

    Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Drive back to Delhi. On-time you will be transferred to New Delhi Railway Station to board the superfast train for Amritsar. Dinner will be on board the train. On arrival in Amritsar, you will be transferred to the pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

    Day 7: Amritsar

    Have your breakfast at the hotel and then proceed for a sightseeing tour in Amritsar, Punjab. Amritsar is a historical city located in the state of Punjab. It has been chosen as one of the heritage cities for the HRIDAY – Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana scheme of the Government of India. It is one of the most popular religious sites for Sikhs. It is home to the Harmandir Sahib, also called the Golden Temple, one of the Sikh’s most spiritually significant and most visited gurudwaras.

    Visit the very famous Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib). The Gurudwara is built around a man-made water pool that was completed by Guru Ram Das in 1577. Also, visit the historical site of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place on 13 April 1919 that involves the killings of hundreds of Indian civilians on the orders of a senior British military officer, Reginald Edward Harry Dyer. In the evening, go to Wagah Border to see the retreat ceremony performed by soldiers every day at the time of sunset. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 8: Amritsar - Delhi – Departure

    Check out from your hotel and catch the train for Delhi.
