North to South India Tour

Day 01: Delhi Arrival

Upon arrival at New Delhi international airport, a Shakti India Tours representative will meet & assist you with a traditional welcome and transfer to your prebooked hotel. The rest of the day is free & easy for own activities and acclimatization to Indian weather conditions. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast; go on for a full-day guided tour in Delhi starting from Old Delhi visiting Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, Red Fort & Chandani Chowk. In the afternoon, visit Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, drive past Parliament Street & President's house, and visit the Qutub Minar. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur

After a hearty breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Jaipur; the capital city of Rajasthan State and also known as the "Pink City of India". Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in to the hotel, and the rest of the day is free & easy for your own activities. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 04: Jaipur Sightseeing

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Later, leave for an excursion to Amber Fort. Enjoy the Elephant ride to ascend the Amber fort. After visiting Amber fort, visit a traditional Rajasthani Handicraft & handloom factory to see the craftsmen performing.

In the afternoon, visit the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar Observatory—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before returning to your hotel; a short stop in front of Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) for a photo shoot. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 05: Jaipur – Agra via Fatehpur Sikri

Have your breakfast and then check out from the hotel. Subsequently, drive to Agra; the city of Taj Mahal. On the way stop at Fatehpur Sikri to visit Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai Palace, Salim Chisti Tomb, Diwan-e-Aam, and Diwan-e-Khas. Further, continue to Agra.

Upon arrival in Agra, check in to the hotel and later proceed for a half-day guided tour in Agra visiting Agra Fort. After visiting Agra Fort; proceed to the Taj Mahal to see it at sunset when it looks most beautiful.

Later in the evening, spend some time shopping for the world's best Marble products and the famous James & Jewelry. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 06: Agra – Delhi - Kochi (By Flight)

Check out from the hotel in Agra after breakfast. Drive straight to New Delhi International Airport to board the flight to Kochi, in Kerala. On arrival in Kochi, get assisted transfer to the hotel. Freshen up and have some rest.

In the evening attend the traditional "Kathakali Dance Show". One of the famous dance forms of India is where male actors tell a story by wearing facemasks and colorful costumes.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 07: Kochi – Munnar

Take your breakfast and then embark on a guide city tour in Kochi. Today you will visit important places like as Jewish Synagogue one of the oldest in Asia constructed in the year 1568., Dutch Palace was originally constructed by the Portuguese and later by Dutch, ST. Francis Church; and Chinese Fishing Nets were introduced by Chinese travelers in the 14th century but are still used in these parts of Kerala.

In the afternoon, drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill station in the Indian state of Kerala, South India. Kochi to Munnar drive will be a pleasing journey riding through the picturesque hills jacketed in greenish tea and spice plantations. The resort town of Munnar is famous for sprawling tea plantations, pristine valleys, mountains, and the aroma of spice. On arrival in Munnar, check-in at your hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 08: Munnar

Take your breakfast and then proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour in Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park at Rajamala famous for Nilgiri Thar, Echo Point, Tea Plantations, and TATA Tea processing Factory, Kundale Lake, Anayirankal Dam, Lockhart Gap Point, etc. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 09: Munnar – Thekkady

After having your breakfast, drive to Thekkady; unending chains of hills and spices scented plantations. Periyar wildlife resort is one of the best reserves in South India famous for elephants, Bison, tiger, and many more animals. This place offers many opportunities for treks and mountain walks.

On arrival, check in to the hotel. Freshen up and have some rest. Thereafter, visit spice markets and spice plantations. Feel the aroma of the finest spices such as Pepper, Cardamom, Vanilla, Cinnamon, and other spices. Also, enjoy a short elephant ride. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Thekkady – Kumarakom

In the early morning, leave for a wildlife viewing in the Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake for the best experience of wildlife viewing at the sanctuary. There is no better way to see the herds of elephants than on the boat cruising on the lake.

Later return to the hotel and have breakfast. In the afternoon, drive down to Kumarakom. An unbelievable beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields, and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Kumarakom is a beautiful small water world situated on the banks of the Vembanad Lake. On arrival in Kumarakom, check in at the backwater side resort and rest of the time leisure at the resort. Enjoy the wonderful view of the sunset over Vembanad Lake. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the resort.

Day 11: Kumarakom – Alleppey (Houseboat)

After breakfast, drive to Alleppey, caressed by the Arabian Sea in the west and a vast network of Lakes, Lagoons, freshwater rivers, and backwaters.

On arrival, check-in at Houseboat cruise Alleppey round (a luxury boat made in ethnic Kerala style having a well-appointed sitting room, bedrooms, toilet, and kitchen) and enjoy the tranquil beauty of the inland waters and the countryside for one day. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the houseboat.

Day 12: Alleppey – Kovalam

After having breakfast, disembark the houseboat at Alleppey and drive to Kovalam; this internationally renowned beach has been the favorite haunt of tourists since the 1930s. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches. The southernmost, known as the - Light House beach- is the most popular. On arrival, check in at the beachside hotel. Freshen up and unwind yourself. Spend the rest of the time enjoying the beach and relaxing. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 13: Kovalam

Take your breakfast and then stroll on the beach enjoying the bay of calm water ideal for sea bathing.

In the afternoon, proceed to Trivandrum city sightseeing. Visit the Napier Museum and Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple.

Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is located inside the East Fort. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the Temple is a blend of the Kerala and Dravidian styles of architecture.

In the evening enjoy the beach and watch the sunset at Kovalam. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 14: Kovalam – Trivandrum Airport – Departure

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. A representative from Shakti India Tours will transfer you to the Trivandrum Airport on time. Board the flight for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
