Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Amritsar
After arriving at Amritsar Railway Station meet Shakti India Tours Representative who will receive and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Check-in at the hotel, freshen up, and have your lunch. Later, in the evening visit Wagah Border to watch the ‘Border Retreat Ceremony’ held every day before sunset. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 02: Amritsar – Departure
Visit Golden Temple - Amritsar Sightseeing
Morning visit to Golden Temple – one of the most sacred places of Sikh religion. This is one of the holiest and top tourist destinations in India so get ready to wait in queue for hours to take blessings of Shri Harmandir Sahib. The temple architecture is stunning amid its gold leaf-laid structure, positioned in the midst of a Sarovar, and engraved with symbols of religious significance. After this enjoy Langar offered by the temple. It is a community meal offered to every visitor in the temple.
Visit Jallianwala Bagh
After taking blessings from Sri Harmandir Sahib in Golden Temple we will visit Jallianwala Bagh which is located within 1 km of Golden Temple. This is a memorial to the countless number of innocent people who were massacred by General Dyer in the year 1919. Then visit the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum which was earlier the palace of the king but later, was converted into a museum.
In the evening, Shakti India Tours Representative will drop you at Amritsar Railway Station to board your train for Delhi.
