    Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

    Upon arrival in New Delhi, the national capital of India, a representative from Shakti India Tours will receive you with a warm welcome and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Enjoy a welcome dinner organized at the hotel restaurant. Stay overnight at the hotel.

    Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing

    Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter, embark on a very exciting sightseeing tour to explore the key attractions of Delhi. The tour will start Old Delhi area where you will visit famous sites like Rajghat (the final cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi), Red Fort (a historic monument, constructed by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Jama Masjid (one of the oldest mosques in India, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan), Sri Digambar Jain Lal Mandir (the oldest and best-known Jain temple in Delhi), Chandni Chowk and local street food bazaars.

    Later in the afternoon proceed to explore the other attractions of Delhi. Visit the India Gate (All India War Memorial) located astride on the Rajpath, a ceremonial avenue in New Delhi. The visit to the Rashtrapati Bhawan (the official home of the President of India), located at the Western end of the Rajpath. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb. Declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the historical monument will never fail to impress you with its architectural brilliance. Visit the Qutub Minar situated in the Qutub Complex that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If time permits, you can also visit other attractions like Lotus Temple (a Bahai House of Worship), and Laxmi Narayan Mandir (Birla Temple). The Lotus Temple is very famous among tourists because of its architectural excellence. It has won several architectural awards. After a sightseeing tour in Delhi, return to the hotel on time. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

    Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur & Sightseeing (296 km, 5.30 hr.)

    Check out from the hotel in Delhi after having your breakfast. Drive to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan and lovingly known as the Pink City of India. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in at the pre-booked hotel. Have some rest, take your lunch and then proceed for half day sightseeing tour in Jaipur covering the main city attractions.

    Visit the very famous City Palace located in the heart of Jaipur city. Established by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, it is an elegant palace complex consisting of beautiful courtyards, palaces, pavilions, gardens, museums, and temples. Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple, and the City Palace Museum are the most visited attractions inside the City Palace Complex.

    Later, visit the Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds) located on the edge of the City Palace. Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Sawai Jai Singh (the founder of Jaipur), the Hawa Mahal is among the most popular attractions on Jaipur city tour. It is a unique five-storey architectural wonder with 953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework. It is also called the crown of Jaipur as it resembles the shape of Lord Krishna’s crown. Visit the Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, the Jantar Mantar is basically a royal observatory. It is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments.     Day 4: Jaipur Sightseeing

    After early morning breakfast, proceed for an exciting excursion to the Amer area, located at the distance of 11 km from the main Jaipur city area. Amer Fort (Amer Palace), Jaigarh Fort, and Nahargarh Fort are prime attractions. Enjoy an elephant ride to ascend the Amer Fort & Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) that is located high on a hill. The fort complex is known for its excellent architectural style that is a fine blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. Later, visit the Jaigarh Fort that overlooks the Amer Fort. The fort was constructed by Jai Singh II in 1726 to protect the Amer Fort and its palace complex and was named after him. Thereafter, also visit the Nahargarh Fort. Nahargarh literally means “the abode of tigers”. Return to hotel en-route visiting the Jal Mahal (the Palace of Water). After lunch, enjoy the rest of the day as you like. You can relax in the hotel room or go shopping in the local bazaars of the city. Jaipur is very popular among shopping enthusiasts and known as Shopper’s Paradise. On-time return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 5: Jaipur - Agra & Sightseeing (En-route Fatehpur Sikri visit) (276 km, 5.15 hr.)

    Take your breakfast and then check out from the hotel. Drive to Agra, a historical city located in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. En route stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fatehpur Sikri was founded by Emperor Akbar as the capital of the Mughal Empire. But soon he abandoned this city due to scarcity of drinking water. Buland Darwaza, the 54-meter-high (177 ft.) entrance to Fatehpur Sikri complex, Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Ibadat Khana, Mariam-uz-Zamani’s Palace (Rani Jodha Bai Palace), Naubat Khana, and Birbal’s House are key attractions in Fatehpur Sikri.

    After sightseeing in Fatehpur Sikri, continue your drive to reach Agra. Check-in at the pre-booked hotel upon arrival in Agra, the city of Taj. Freshen up and relax. Later visit the historical Agra Fort, the main residence of emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital shifted from Agra to Delhi. Built in red sandstone, the fort is also called the Red Fort of Agra. It is the only fort in the country where all early Mughal emperors lived.

    The Agra Fort is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are a number of architectures and sites of tourists’ interest inside the fort complex. Shahjahani Mahal, Jahangir’s Hauz, Jahangir’s Chain of Justice, Shah Burj & Jharokha, and Shish Mahal are major attractions inside the fort complex. Delhi Gate and Lahore Gate (also called Amar Singh Gate) are two notable gates of the fort. The Delhi Gate is closed to the public. Tourists are allowed to enter the complex only via the Lahore Gate (Amar Singh Gate). Spend the evening exploring local bustling bazaars and colorful handicraft markets.     Day 6: Agra - Delhi (232 km, 4.30 hr.)

    In the early morning proceed to visit the Taj Mahal, the most-awaited attraction of your Golden Triangle Tour. The beauty of the Taj Mahal at sunrise is simply incomparable. We cannot describe it in words. You need to experience it, feel it. The Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.     Day 7: Departure from Delhi
